Hello All,

So sorry! I have been horible about keeping up with the pics!! We will send some today. We leave here in a few hours. How we cant wait to go home, we miss our fruits, veggies, ice, but most of all our friends and family. We get into Sky Harbor at 750pm Friday December 18th, we look forward to seeing our friends and family there. All and all this was an amazing adventure for us. We made some wonderful new friends, we got to see some very beautiful sights, and most of all we got the most amazing Daughter, Sister, Niece, and God Daughter a family could ever ask for. Now if we could just get her to be ok alone with BABA...they get along very well otherwise. Staying at the White Swan was a wonderful experience and would do it all over again. We think she is on target in most aspects, but emotionaly she is severly delayed, much like a 1.5 yr old child. We know in time she will be ok emotionaly with all of her family and friends suport.

Hello All,

We've had some requests for some more pics. For your viewing pleasure I've added about 38 new pics of our precious little Katie HERE, thanks for all the messages and emails. It means alot to us. We are very much looking forward to moving on to Guangzhou and the White Swan. Cindy, I found a few different types of Skittles for Jake. Shannon, thanks for the update on the house. I will email you later with a list of stuff we will need. Tell Joe thanks for looking after the house. The story reminds me alot of the Kings trampoline. I cant believe the winds. Congrats on the spelling bee champs Kirsten & Emily. we will have some challenges ahead of us. We figure Katie is a year behind, but it's hard to judge with the language barrier. She is such a little sweetie. Bubby, thanks for keeping Allie, I think it's funny she wants her hair like Katie.

We miss you all and cant wait too see you next week! We will write more later.

Katie Day!

It was an awesome day. We got the Civil Office Building, and we were the third family to get their child. The previous two were crying like mad, they were 3.5yrs. Katie came in with her caretaker and was very quiet, she had her backpack on, and lots of clothes on. She right way bonded with Baba, it was at the hotel she started to like Mama. It was so surreal, it took us back to meeting Allie for the first time. We were lucky enough to meet with both directors and they were both very nice. We will be going to Yiwu ( EEWUH) tomorrow. We get to get a tour at her orphanage, I was very surprised by that. But very happy to go. We will also get her passport tomorrow. She is very protective of her stuff. She's waking up as I type. Enjoy the pics!!

We are very excited to be here in China again. This province is very beautiful they specialize in agriculture in Hangzhou, we saw many acres of Bonsai plants and trees. Very different from Changsha. Our hotel the Lakeview is on the lake. Last night we ventured out a bit and found a huge Walmart like store we liked. We got two bags of food and treats for a total of 10.00non and Sharaleen and Shannon I even found some cute stickers. It's morning time here and we get to go the the buffet. Sounds yummy. We have really just snacked the last few days. I will type more tonight, We do not have access to Blogger or Facebook here.

On Our Way To Hangzhou!!!

We've spent the day in Seoul Korea at the airport. We managed to find a Starbucks. It's amazing how beautiful and clean this airport is. It puts our US airports to shame. Asiana Airlines was fantastic for flying coach the service was amazing. Kelly and I are really missing you Allison and we love you to pieces. We will try our best to get the photos posted for you all on Monday. Thanks for the comments, we are loving to read them. I will post more from China. I cant believe in just a few days we will have our little girl and Allie's Sister.

Sorry for being such a lousy blogger!! But the day has finally come and we are sitting as I type in Lax... We are flying Asiana to Seoul Korean and then Hangzhou China..We get in on Saturday and have a day and a half to relax. We will get Katie on Monday in China. I dont know what time that will be. We are very excited about becoming a family of four. Allison knows that she will a big sister to Katie and she cant wait. Thanks for making the last year bearable for our family. We are looking forward to the comments!!! It makes us a feel a bit like home. Please pray that Katie will adjust and not mourn too much.

Were Going To China/ Halloween/ Allie 3rd B-Day Party!

Hello everyone!! I hope this blog post finds everyone happy & healthy! We have had alot going on the last few weeks. Last weekend was Halloween, Allie had two of her friends over to spend

the night, eat dinner and we went out Trick O Treating. What we noticed was there was not too many families opening their doors for candy this year. It's very sad how hard this economy has been hit. But they still managed to get alot of stash. The next morning the girls all woke up, I fixed them pancakes, they played and we got ready to head over to "As You Wish"..it's a pottery place where the kids could pick out a piece of pottery and paint it. Allie had about 15 kids attend her birthday party, they had cupcakes and goodie bags. I think they all had a good time. After the party we took Allie and Grandma to the Cracker Barell for dinner. Allie loves this place..... We had to have Allie's party early this year as her birthday is close to Thanksgiving. And we knew we would be traveling around her birthday. Fast foward to Thursday 11/5/09 It was

about 8:00pm, I got on the computer and saw their was a message from my amazing China Coordinator. " It said that our TRAVEL APPROVAL LEFT CHINA AND WOULD BE AT OUR AGENCY ON MONDAY 11/09/09." I called and spoke with Sue Sorrels and she has placed our seats on hold. We asked for a consulate appointment of 12/15/09. Yesterday I recieved another email with our Tentative dates. We will leave 12/03/09 and will return on 12/19/09 same exact day of the month we returned with Allie. I will try and post on this blog from China but I'm not sure it will work. So I will have another website running as a back up and will put a link up on this blog.

Golly Miss Molly, it's been a very long while since my last post and lots been happening. This will be a post about what we've been up to the last 5 weeks or so. We celebrated our birthdays, anniversary,metcha day and our I800 was approved this all took place in the first few weeks of September. My cousin Julie hosted a family shower that was fabulous and about 40-something friends and family were there. Miss Katie recieved some beautiful gifts. Allie has had several play dates in between and so has mommy. I've spent alot of Saturday nights with my friend Shannon and we've scrapped till all hours. We attended a scrapbook convention last week and bought some amazing things. For all you scrappers out there, Cricut came out with a new cartridge called Pagoda it's all asian and a must for us with asian kids :-). This last weekend we went to two birthday parties for a few of Allie's good friends and she had so much fun. Today I will be getting her party invites in the mail for her third birthday. We have chosen a place called " As You Wish" The kids will paint pottery pieces they pick out. Something different. We should be recieving our TA by the end of the month. We cant wait to bring Katie home. I can honestly say that having Allie home has made this wait much more bearable. We've started our flu season around here already, and I was the first to catch it. I hope it goes away by Friday so I can get my flu mist.

I hope everyone is doing good. We have been having a busy summer with play~dates, birthday parties, lots of get togethers, and I've had a couple of my oldest and dearest friends come and visit me and my family. My girlfriend Allison will be leaving for Afganistan in Sept. Little did she know that a reservist officer would be heading out to the middle east for over 400-days. By the way she is a single mom too. ( Please keep her in your prayers) Allison is amazing, so smart she is now telling us when we are in the car if it's a " red light to stop" and "green light to go" her favorite show now is called The Fresh Beat. She will be playing a instrument in the not so distant future she loves music and playing the drums. I cant believe we've had her almost 2 years. It just doesn't seem possible. She is really expressing how she's chinese and from China. I think it's so cute!

So sorry I've been a lousy blogger! You can catch me on Facebook! I go and fart around on there a little bit each day.

I am so excited to announce that we recieved our LOA for Katie on Friday. It figures I left the house around 9:00am and the phone call from our China coordinator came in at 9:32am. I was beyond ELATED as we had been waiting 99 days. When asking about approx times we might be going to China, I keep hearing November. I pray that it will be early November so we will not miss Allie's birthday, as she will be staying at her Godparents house while Kelly and I are in China. I'm excited for many reasons, we've had Katie's picture for almost a year now and I cant wait to meet her. Allison is so excited about being a big sister. She cant wait to play games, and dress up like Disney Princess together. We are getting excited about the family shower that is coming up in a few weeks. I cant wait to post the pics. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers that I asked for on Facebook they were answered. Today, I spent the whole day getting our paperwork done for LOA. So now, I just have to finish collecting all my squares and sending some out to others for their quilts,finsih the quilt book, and get a packing list together. What a great feeling that I have nothing major to do till we get out TA.

Two Years Ago Today!!!

At approx 9:30am MST, our social worker called and said Ba Jun Yang and I was like what. She said that you had been matched with a beautiful baby girl from Hunan province, she was a little over 8 months old. and she's in foster care. The tricky part was that Kelly had just left for work and that meant that I would have to wait till he got home to see the photos and referral info. So I waited until 8:00pm that night when we could finally celebrate together. That had to have been one of the longest days of my life. Thanks to a good friend of mine, she drove with me 2 hours roundtrip to get the referral packet and she and her mom waited with me till Kelly made it home from work. I would of never dreamed in a million years that Kelly and I could be this happy, our little girl Allie has been a COMPLETE AND UTTER BLESSING IN OUR LIFES. She has made each and every day a better one. We cannot wait to see her in the big sister role. We thank God everyday that he chose her to be our Daughter. We are so blessed!!!!

I really hope this post finds everyone doing well! I'm going to take this post back the last five weeks to catch you all up on what the Ost family is been up to. Starting with Father's Day we had an amazing dinner at the Outback with the Davis family. The following week Allie had 3 different playdates and had a blast. As late June approached we took Allie back to the Doctor again and she started a a regimine of Asthma meds. July first rolled around and I packed Allie, Sassie and I up for a 2 day adventure to the mid-west were we spent 13-days with Kelly's family and had an AWESOME TIME. Allie and I got to see our family for most of the trip, Allie really loved spending her days in Grandma's yard where there are beautiful flowers and birds. We took many drives to the lake and around the beautiful county where we got to see Deer, Wild Turkeys and lots of Rabbits. One of my Mother In Law's closest friends has a Grandaughter from China as well, so it was so fun seeing the girls bond. It was like they knew each other forever. Leah kept saying. " She looks like me". Brice one of our cousins came back to AZ with us. And on July 17th, we took Allie back to the doctor and we started her on another regimine of meds, this time it's a steriod. She has an appointment with the Pumoligist ( I dont know if I spelled that right) This week. Please keep her in your prayers. These steriods seem to be doing the trick. So that same day, our lifes were about to get even more hectic as we got a new puppy. Her name is Maggie and she is a Zuchon ( Bichon Frise/ Shitzu) and I thought was tired before!! LMAO!!! So now you have a better idea as to why I haven't blogged for so long, it's been 5-years since we had a puppy. Now wonder why we are tired. This last Thursday I had the pleasure of seeing one of my best friends from Grade school, she took me out to the Red Lobster and we laid in her hotel room and chatted for hours. She advised me that she found another Melanoma. PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS. As well as another friend I have found out a few months ago she has stage 2-3 breast cancer. PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS TOO. My bloggy friend Kim at journeytoisabellabison.blogspot.com, had surgery today. PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS TOO. I'm going to post some of my favorite pics from the last 5-weeks. A few things I forgot to mention, my wonderful Cousin Julie is throwing our family a shower for Katherine in Sept. ( A Family shower.) It will be at the Kings house. I cant wait. We are now day 67 on our wait for LOA. ( We hope to hear soon)

An Update From The Director Of Katie's SWI!

I received the email from the orphanage director this morning. I am disappointed that he didn't send any updated pictures of your daughter. The director wrote that according to the regulations of international adoption, the SWI cannot directly send information or pictures of the children to adoption agencies or families. He wrote that he has received the care packet you sent (including the camera and presents). Ni Yi Fei is physically healthy and is developing well. She can walk independently. She is bright and lovely and can say some simple words. The director asked me to let you know not to worry.

I guess we will ALL be suprised, when WE recieve her. Thanks again Diana for bringing the pic to life on the header of her. So we actually have three pics! But they must be over a year old now. EVEN MORE EXCITING was to hear she's HEATHLY, that's the MOST important thing!!!

We Had A Fun Week!!

We started off with a little party for Katie, fabric shopping and I chose the fabric for the back of the quilt and other fabric for the edges. I cant wait to see the finished product if there is anyone who would like to contribute to Katie's quilt. Please send me an email. This past weekend, we had some friends over for a swim and also went with a few couples and the kiddos to Westgate which was a blast. I was told by a little birdie that I should be recieving some updated photos of our little Katie as soon as I get them I will post some photos. I was told by Angela at Ladybugsnlove that Katie did recieve our carepackage. Enjoy the photo's from the party and our trip to Westgate where we took our Chinese beauties to Johnny Rockets. I've done nothing but think about our precious little girl today and wish that we were with her celebrating, not that she know's that it's her birthday. After being blessed by our first daughter I never would of dreamed that this was going to happen to Kelly and I again. We are just so darn lucky! If I hadn't been at my agencie's Yahoo Group at the exact minute the shared list came down, this wouldn't of been possible. I will forever be grateful! It was this time last summer

that I knew that we were not done. We are having a little birthday party for her tommarow and I cant wait to see the kids having a good time. I'm getting up super early to make cupcakes for them to decorate and each one of them will have a candle, so they can make a wish for Katie. My only wish is that she's healthy and happy.

It was nice on Thursday morning I corresponded with Angela from http://www.ladybugsnlove.com, Kelly, Allie, I sent a carepackage to Katie for her birthday. I'm really hoping that we can get some updated photos and info. I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst, her SWI does not like to give any extra info or pics out before travel. It was nice later that day our cousins Julie & Alex came out and we went to Babies R Us to get registered for our family shower in September.

Today were having a BBQ and swim at our house. Sunday were looking forward to relaxing. I hope everyone enjoys the weekend, and thank you for coming to our new blog.

Well Were Up And Running!!!

First I have to thank Diana of Custom Blog Designs who made my

vision into a reality. When I spoke with

her several months ago I told her I needed

to do a blog-change to include our newest

blessing from China. This blog captures

just that. I will be using this blog instead

of Life With Allison And Sassie for most

of my posts. But please feel free to look

at our other blog.

We got the best news this week about

Allie's heart murmur, it's innocent so

the doctor is not worried. We will be

going to get an XRAY just in case.

This week will be a busy one as I

will be spending some time with

my Father and Cousin, we have

a BBQ at our house on Saturday

I will also be getting ready for

Katie's birthday party on Tuesday

Just because she's not here doesn't

mean we cant celebrate. I saw this

on an episode of I Love Lucy when

Lucy had a party for Little Ricky

while he was back in New York

and they were in Italy. I will

take pics & some video. We

have about 13-kids comming

and it will be at Aunt Selina's

& Uncle Danny's. I will put the

Secretary of the state.
Purchased Hague trainings

visit, had various papers

to the agency, with their fee.

12/13/08 We had are final
Homestudy visit.

12/24/08 Recieved my B/C
and it was certified.

12/31/08 We completed our
Hague Training. Yipee!!!

1/07/09 Was advised our HS
is in the court system to be
approved by the judge.

1/08/09 Both birth certificates
went to the chinese consulates
All but the police clearances.
HS, I800A were authenticated
by Sec of state.

1/09/09 I spoke with China
Coordinator and was advised
they have our HS for review
and to approve.

1/10/09 I mailed all the paper
work that had been authenticated
at the Sec of state this last week
to Red Tape Solution and it will
be taken to the Chinese Consulate
Los Angeles by Wed..Jan 15th.
Mailed my HS fee to the agency
as well.

1/15/09 I picked up are new
Police reports, I recieved a
call yesterday that they
were finished.

1/16/09 I called the agency
and was told that our HS
was approved!

1/19/09 This week we got
in the mail everything sent
to all the chinese consulates
it had all been authenticated
there!

1/21/09 State of AZ approved
our HS.

2/11/09 Our I800A was sent to
Chicago.

2/14/09 We changed Hannah's
middle name to Grace.

02/28/09 NBC called to tell us
we are logged in. Our lid is
02/26/09, reciept date is
02/26/09 and we have a
fingerprinting appt for

03/13/09 Fingerprinting at 8:00am

and I800a sent to Asst Stork.

04/30/09 Recieved everything back
from Asst Stork, and our full dossier
was sent to China Coordinator.

05/01/09 Dossier send to China
